July 8, 16/ 2019 Three not so Quick Cards

It was a Stamparatus evening.  Each card used it for a different purpose – for proper placement on an small oval, for stamping a word multiple times and to accurately line up a stem and leaf (on the inside of the vases card). The time consuming card in this batch was Best Wishes. It took a while to arrange the ’spray’ of leaves with the flower and the oval but I think it was worth the extra time.

A rose and two very masculine cards were the cards for this month. The rose was a new technique as we stamped and embossed on designer paper using just a die. Something a little different to expand the use of your dies. Then we had to fussy cut it so it took a little longer to create.
The other 2 cards went together a little quicker. They all used a little DSP – loving it and chopping it!

May 8, 13, 14/ 2019 Three not so Quick Cards

Roses and daisies and deer – suitable for any occasion with one especially masculine one. The rose was die cut and coloured with sponge daubers. It's the card that took the most time with embossing, die cutting and colouring, but I think it turned out pretty nice!
The daisies are just pretty and soon to disappear as they are retiring. The deer are from an old set, ‘In the Meadow’, but a great masculine one.

September 10,11,12/ 2018 Double Your Fun

We were creating in Edmonton and in the Devon Library!
Creating with the Graceful Glass DSP and adding just a little coloring, the new Dandelion Wishes stamp set, a little ribbon made into a bow and a faux bow – and the results!!

Happy Stamping! Wendy

August 13 & 14/2018 Double Your Fun

Who knew Fresh Fig with a touch of Lemon Lime Twist could look good together?? We used the ‘Out of the Box’ technique again with the flowers from ‘Southern Serenade’ and added a few pearls as accents. I didn’t stamp a greeting in the top left hand corner as I hadn't quite decided where it was going. Another All Occasion card for my stash!  And a masculine card (could be any occasion) showcasing the ‘Waterfront’ stamp set (with birds from ‘High Tide’).

July 9 & 10/2018 Double Your Fun

‘Celebrate’ – another card inspired by Jenny P.  Quick and easy, the ‘Picture Perfect’ DSP says it all! Lemon Lime Twist and Berry Burst are the colours used.
‘Birthday Blooms’ was stamped with Stazon on glossy paper and then coloured with ink pads & sponge daubers. It made for a really quick Any Occasion card.

June 11, 12/2018 Double Your Fun

It’s the Month for Fathers so a masculine card was definitely called for.  (Mine is obviously intended for a special birthday guy.) Wood Texture DSP was dry embossed with the Brick Wall folder. We ‘aged’ the card a little by sponging the edges as well as the DSP.
The butterfly (from ‘Beautiful Day’) was stamped on ‘Painted with Love’ DSP and then fussy cut. (Thank you Jenny P. for reminding me that DSP is also paper and can be stamped on!)

June 7/2016 A Bookmark in the Library

June 4th was the beginning of Senior’s Week in Alberta.  It was fitting to do a quick Bookmark make & take in the Devon Library. There were two to choose from and everyone found it a hard choice to make!

May 8 & 9/2018 Double Your Fun!

We had a lot of fun with dies, fancy ribbon, washi tape and pearls and sequins. The ‘Out of the Box’ technique was used on the Birthday Wishes card.  It involved a little fussy cutting but was well worth the extra time it took. The Happy Birthday card is Lemon Lime Twist – the photo sure doesn't look like it!
Not quick & easy cards but easy & elegant!

December 11 & 13/2017 Time for Tags!

Ten Tags and a decorated cellophane bag to keep them organized for yourself or to give as a gift. The hour went quickly but everyone managed to finish!!

November 6 & 8/2017 3 Quick Cards

Who said we can’t have flowers in the snow in November?  And a masculine card too!!

Here are November's 3 Quick Cards.

October 11 & 16/2017 3 Quick Cards

A different colour combination (for me), a punch used creatively and a few die cuts led to three pretty All Occasion cards,

September 11 & 13/2017 3 Quick Cards

They were all designed with the words ‘Happy Birthday’ but some became ‘Thank You’ cards; some were ‘Thinking of You’; some brothers, uncles and husbands became the ‘World’s Greatest’ and a few were left blank to wait for the right occasion.

August 14 & 16/2017 3 Quick Cards

The BigShot was definitely in use again in this class.  There was some dry embossing – we used ‘Selective' dry embossing with the butterfly folder – and layered die cutting.  With a little bit of sponging, some colouring with the Watercolour Pencils and a tiny bit of ribbon, the cards ended up looking pretty nice!!

July 10 & 12/2017 3 Quick Cards

Well… this time they weren’t really all that quick.  I did a lot of die cutting ahead of time to make things go a little faster, but I got a little carried away this time.

I really liked the colours and the layouts and basically all the cards.  They look pretty clean and simple but just took a little longer than usual to put together.

With Father’s Day happening this month I wanted to make sure everyone had some masculine cards on hand.

May 8 & 10/2017 3 Quick Cards

A little dry embossing, some quick cuts with a lacy die and making good use of Designer Paper that Stampin’ Up! coordinates so well with our ink and paper.  I certainly couldn’t do that on my own!!

December 12 & 14/2016,Tags, Tags, Tags!

Instead of 3 Quick Cards in the library we made a mini File box and lots of tags.  Some were using it as a gift and some were keeping it for themselves!

September 12 & 14/2016 3 Quick Cards

Butterflies and Flowers in different shades of green was the accidental theme for August.  With a little die cutting, punching and sponging these cards made up very quickly!

July 11 & 13/16 3 Quick Cards

Once again they really were quick cards in the Devon Library on the 11th and in Edmonton at Heritage Park Towers on the 13th.  This month we used some new products from the Annual Catalogue.

The vertical Happy Birthday is from “Vertical Greetings” p.109, a real All Occasion set.

16-07 Library 1 (480x640)

That hint of pink on the black fern is one of the new In Colors this year – Flirty Flamingo.

16-07 Library 2 (480x640)

And this last card uses one of the new Ombre ink pads p.180 – Bermuda Bay, as well as a new embossing folder – Festive p.195.
