December 12 Card Making in the Devon Library

We had great fun making 3 enclosure cards in which to put a gift card.  They were really nice and came in very handy at Christmas.  Unfortunately I used all mine before I took pictures, so you’ll just have to believe me!!  One used the new Stocking Die and had a pocket inside.  Another used the Two Tag Die and the last used the Top Note die cut so as there was a fold at the bottom.
Everyone got a teeny Christmas gift – in a cute little package of course – a ‘Handmade By’ stamp of their choosing.  Christmas cookies were available but we were so busy stamping no one stopped for snacks!!

October 27, Technique Class – Embossing Folder Play

There are plenty of things to do with the embossing folders and we have already done several in workshops and classes.  This month we learned a couple more tricks!!

I like the transformed Designer Paper much more than the original!!  Note how the butterflies are behind the embossed floral spray!!

October 17, Card Making in the Devon Library

Three more quick & easy cards.  This time it was Christmas!

Next date for Card Making in the Library is December 12.  We will make three enclosure cards to hold the special gift cards that you purchase for Christmas gifts.

October 15… The Rest of the Sunflower Cards

We had a great time at the Edmonton East Stampin’ Lab!  Who knew you could make so many cards with a 12x12 sheet of white cardstock!! Just a little stamping and the white cardstock was transformed into Designer Paper!

Coming Up... Stitching and Stamping, October 16

A little stitching and a little stamping and we will make FOUR Christmas cards, a felt Stocking Gift card holder and THREE All-Occasion Greeting cards.  If you have time on Sunday, please join us at Westview Community Hall, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Contact me for more info.
Here are the projects we will make…

October 12, One Sheet Wonder – Have you registered yet??

On October 15, using the Sunflower background stamp on p.149 of the Idea Book & Catalogue we will create our own designer paper and then use it to make 8 cards.  You will have enough of the designer paper left over to take home and make an addition 2-4 cards.
Here is a photo of 4 of the cards we will make.  (They were inspired by, and cased from, designs by Kim Ransom.)
11-10 OSW Sunflower
If you are interested in taking the class you must have the Sunflower stamp and a black Stazon ink pad.  Let me know by 6 p.m. on October 2 if you need me to order it for you.  Cost of the class is $45 (that includes the stamp) or $25 if you already own it.  Register by Thursday, October 13 if you already have the stamp.

September 29, Technique Class

The ‘Split Negative’ technique is not a new one, but it is a handy one to have in the technique book.  It is one we have used in past at stamp camps but for some reason never made it to the book.  Well, now it is in there!!
We did the regular black and white – that is where the ‘negative’ comes in.  And we also did two variations.
