August 20 & 21/16 Christmas in August - A Card Buffet

It was pretty much a preview of the upcoming Holiday Mini Catalogue.  Used lots of new stamp sets, dies, embossing folders, paper, embellishments, embossing powders, ribbons… I think that was all!

Some were vintage, some were cute and a couple were pretty conventional.  We had lots of fun in Devon and in Edmonton.  Some of us even stopped for lunch!!

 

July 11 & 13/16 3 Quick Cards

Once again they really were quick cards in the Devon Library on the 11th and in Edmonton at Heritage Park Towers on the 13th.  This month we used some new products from the Annual Catalogue. 

The vertical Happy Birthday is from “Vertical Greetings” p.109, a real All Occasion set.   

That hint of pink on the black fern is one of the new In Colors this year – Flirty Flamingo.

And this last card uses one of the new Ombre ink pads p.180 – Bermuda Bay, as well as a new embossing folder – Festive p.195. 

June 8 & 13/2016 3 Quick Cards

With Father’s Day just around the corner the Quick cards this time were all masculine ones.  OR, they could also make perfect Birthday cards. 

You will never guess what we used to stamp the design on the ‘Happy’ balloon.  Do you own an Adhesive Remover (p.182)?  Well if you do you can use it as a stamp!!

May 28 & 29/2016 5 Pretty Little Cards

Well, one wasn’t really what you’d call pretty but it was a shaker card using the new Foam Adhesive Strips (p.182 in the 2016 Annual Catalogue).  They are a little thicker than the dimensionals and much easier to use on a shaker card.  The stamp set is new too – Marquee Messages (p.111).
The ‘tag’ card used new DSP from the Playful Palette DSP Stack (p.174) and some of the coordinating washi tape (p.179).
The old car was a ‘fancy fold’ card.  Pretty simple but something a little different.
More new DSP was used on the floral dry embossed card.  The DSP is Affectionately Yours (p.172) and the embossing was done with a new folder, Floral Affection (p.195).
The last card with the tiny balloon and colored pearls was from the April Paper Pumpkin kit.  It included a coordinating envelope that was already prescored so very easy to put together.
Oh and new crinkly ribbon – Emerald Envy and Peekaboo Peach – so pretty!

May 9 & 11/2016 3 Quick Cards

These quick cards just had a little coloring, some washi tape combined with scraps of Designer paper and a die cut window.  They were even colour coordinated!

 

April 23 & 24/16 A Buffet of Birthday Cards

A few masculine cards, a few new techniques, a little masking, some heat embossing and some dry embossing…  It was a busy Saturday and Sunday!!

 

April 6 & 12/2016 3 Quick Cards

This month the cards weren’t very ‘quick’!  There were a few more steps in a special ‘Birthday’ card and some coloring on a general ‘Just Because’ card that took a little longer than usual.  The ‘Just for You’ card made up for the two of them and was indeed a quick one (with a little fussy cutting homework).
