May Technique Class

Have you used your brayer lately?  And used it for different purposes??  Well here are 3 ways to put the ink from the brayer to the paper!

Create a scene, make a plaid background and give some plain white paper a burst of colour.

May 21, Spring Fling

It was a busy day of stamping and creating, card making, a wee bit of scrapbooking, a quick and easy fridge magnet, a set of cards with a purse to match and a mini watercoloured book.  The day started with a card swap and the cards were all wonderful.  (A couple of people were teased and ‘encouraged’ to take part in the next swap!!)  Lunch was late but stamping continued in the afternoon.  It was a tiring, but FUN!! day.

May 9, Card Making in the Devon Library

Lots of white, so nice and bright!!  Three clean and simple cards using some spotlighting techniques and an acrylic block as a stamp!!

April Technique Class

Two techniques this month – “Blocked Shadow” and “Dauber Direct”.

The shadow is created with an acrylic block and daubers are used to apply different colors of ink directly to areas on the rubber stamp.

April 16, Simply Cards

Just 8 cards this month for stamp camp, but not all of them were very simple.  Used a variety of techniques – Blocked Shadow, Spotlighting, Blocking, Masking and Creative Use of Scraps (thanks Jane!).

April 11, Card Making in the Devon Library

Three quick and easy cards (other than the fine cutting of the wee butterfly!).  There were lots of different word stamps available so that everyone could make the greeting of their choice.

March Technique Class - Vellum

Vellum cardstock and paper are such lovely papers, we needed a reminder as to how many ways they can be used.  Everyone received a page of ‘Vellum Tips’ and made four cards each using vellum cardstock or paper in a different way.  We embossed it, coloured on it using chalk pastels and markers, used it as a layer and attached it in different ways.
