May 26, Spring Fling

It was a VERY full day of stamping.  Lots of cards, a picture frame that can be changed with the seasons, a couple of special folds and a little project.  We shared a potluck lunch with the Needlecraft ladies but kept our noses to the grindstone and were finished by 4:30.
Here are the projects.  First a recycled Baker’s Twine holder – pretty handy!

Three special cards, one of which was pretty fussy but sure looked nice when done!

A picture frame that can have a different insert every season or every month!  It can have a tiny photo or two, or one larger one with fewer mini squares.  When the insert is rotated the squares can be used as card embellishents.

May 15, Technique Class

Two new Techniques, both involving white craft ink and white embossing powder.  BUT with two totally different results.

This chalkboard one should look like the design has been drawn on a blackboard that has streaks of chalk on it.

The whitewash technique required a bit of patience as we had to wait and let the craft ink dry before painting on it.  The wait was well worth it!  Such a pretty Island Indigo card.

April 27 All Occasion Cards

The first stamp camp of the year!  (That is what happens when warmer climes beckon in our snowy cold winter.)
This card took a little extra work but made a cute little pop-up surprise when opened.

That is embossed vellum on the banner card.  Because vellum is so light weight, it is best embossed on the platform base with an additional piece of computer paper included in the folder.  (Thanks Kim W. for that tip.)

April 24, 2013 It Has been a Long Winter


But I am back….!!!
