May 21/2018 Colouring Designer Paper

We used sponges with ink, Stampin’ Write Markers, a brayer and Blends to change the look of this very pretty Petal Passion Designer Series Paper. It was beautiful untouched as black and white DSP but the colouring changed it from beautiful to gorgeous!  And embellishing with clear & black rhinestones, silver edged ribbon, clear Faceted gems and multilayered die cuts took the cards up a notch or two on the WOW spectrum!

May 8 & 9/2018 Double Your Fun!

We had a lot of fun with dies, fancy ribbon, washi tape and pearls and sequins. The ‘Out of the Box’ technique was used on the Birthday Wishes card.  It involved a little fussy cutting but was well worth the extra time it took. The Happy Birthday card is Lemon Lime Twist – the photo sure doesn't look like it!
Not quick & easy cards but easy & elegant!

April 21 & 22/2018 Waterfront All Occasion Cards

We used the ‘Waterfront’ stamp set to create all 4 of these All Occasion Cards. The same images (mountains, water and trees) and ink (Pool Party, Smoky Slate and Tranquil Tide) were used for them all. The layouts for each were altered slightly and with stamping 2 or 3 times without reinking, the mountains looked different each time.
It’s a very versatile set!
(The birds come from the ‘High Tide’ set.)

December 11 & 13/2017 Time for Tags!

Ten Tags and a decorated cellophane bag to keep them organized for yourself or to give as a gift. The hour went quickly but everyone managed to finish!!

November 25/2017 Christmas Card Buffet

It was the last Buffet for this year with a variety of cards.  There were traditional Christmas colours and designs to a few different colours and non-traditional designs.

The tea latte with the tiny tea bag turned into a cappuccino by simply removing the tea bag.  The glimmer on the big snowflake unfortunately doesn't show in the photo.

Similarly the sparkle on the topiary, birch trees and Noel didn’t photograph well.  But, they were all very pretty and kept everyone busy creating!

October 28/2017 A Stamping Retreat and Mini Christmas Buffet

We had a wonderful day of getting together with friends, enjoying a potluck lunch and doing a little paper crafting.

There were 5 Christmas cards to choose from  - just in case the attendees had no unfinished projects of their own to work on.  (Wouldn’t that be nice – nothing unfinished!)

Here are the cards…

17-10 Mini Buffet 1      This could easily be an All Occasion Card… substitute ‘Be Merry’ for other words and you have a perfect masculine card.

17-10 Mini Buffet 2     Everything glittered on this card from the flowers & leaves to the layer behind the lattice die cut.

17-10 Mini Buffet 3      With a little sponging and ‘direct to paper’ with an ink pad we created an easy night scene with silver embossing.

17-10 Mini Buffet 4     It’s really hard to see the gorgeous glitter on the crumb cake tree and star, but believe me it is there.  It was done with a Wink of Stella.

17-10 Mini Buffet 5     A very simple card with glitter on the roof tops, in the ‘snow drifts’ and up in the sky.  All done using the fine tip glue pen and Dazzling Diamonds glitter.
